The applications in building construction are currently limited to components exposed to the elements, in which, in addition to the savings in the subsequent components (e.g. foundations, supports, etc.) due to the low weight, the advantage of the durability of the material can also be used to the full.
The possibility of serial production of the t-USE© -elements and the simple assembly using flexible steel control connections as well as their advantages in a life cycle view means at least the possibility of a renewed upswing of this construction method for greater use in building construction.
Recent research in terms of building physics into the use of UHPC as a load-bearing and sealing layer for an insulated area, e.g. for exterior wall components are in preparation.
